WHAT WE OFFER

The Cheshire Dramatic Arts Academy is proud to offer LAMDA examinations in Acting and Musical Theatre to students of ALL ages and abilities. Plus, you don't need to attend our classes to participate. 

​

We make sure all our private lessons are catered to all abilities and ensure a safe, positive and encouraging learning environment.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

​

Students will initially choose pieces to perform with the help of their teacher. They will then work through the variety of technical and interpretational skills necessary to delivery the monologue or song through their private 1:1 lessons.

 

Along side this, you will also work on the knowledge component of the course. This is the part of the exam where you have to answer questions about the piece and how you have created the character for performance.

In short, our LAMDA Courses take the form of a combination of private and group lessons, a mock exam and then the actual exam.

WHAT QUALIFICATION CAN I GET?

 

LAMDA exams are recognised educational qualifications and are accredited as an Awarding Body by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) in England.

 

Exams are accredited to the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) giving equivalent points towards GCSEs, A Levels and UCAS Points.

WHERE DO YOU TEACH?

​

As a registered Centre, means that our students will be able to take their LAMDA exams in our own venue, allowing our students to feel confident and secure in familiar surroundings.

 

IS IT FOR ME?

LAMDA is almost always a very positive experience for students. However, if you are not sure whether it is right for you, come and speak to one of our teachers.
